RSR TF 90
RSR TF 90
Tubolar ceramic support, designed for severe environment condition
The RS is a wire resistance wound on a ceramic tubular support coated with vitreous enamel. The purpose of the coating is to (1) ensure the mechanical protection of the wire, (2) allow a uniform heat distribution and (3) limit thermal expansion of the coils. The coating does not have an electrical insulation function. Vitreous enamel ensures total waterproofing of resistance. The collar termination is called TC, while the band terminal is called TS. The RS is available on the website in the low inductance version; in this case, it is called RSN; it is available with an adjustment slider; in this case, it is called RCR; and with a fixed intermediate socket, in this case, it is called RCP. The latter cannot be purchased through e-commerce, please contact our sales department: sales@dev.fairfild.com.

In what sectors is this resistance used?
The main areas of application are industrial automation, energy and railway sector. For what types of applications is it used?
The product is used: as a dynamic terminating resistor, as a basic element in harmonic filter circuits, as a basic element for neutral earthing resistors, as a resistance to start up motors, as a charge and discharge capacitor resistance in RC as heating resistances for electrical or anti condensation panels. What are the electrical specifications?
The RS family has 10 models with power ratings from 15 W to 300 W and the ohmic value ranges between 1.6 Ω and 91k Ω. The nominal voltage varies depending on the model. What are the overload conditions?
The resistance can be overloaded with respect to its nominal power based on the working cycle (insertion and rest time). For duration pulse less than one second, the overload permissible also depends on the ohmic value. For non-repetitive pulses the relation is 5 times the nominal power for 10 seconds and 10 times the nominal power for 5 seconds. What is the temperature of the resistance?
The temperature of the resistance depends on the power that it will dissipate. Numerous factors influence the dissipation capacity; please consult our technical data sheet for detailed information. The graph on page 3 of the data sheet shows the relationship between the temperature on the resistance and the power applied for a heating element placed horizontally.HELP DESK
